Thanks FG, this sounds great as a jumping off spot to CKGR, so many people stop at Khama, but with an extra hour or two one could make it there.

I have been into Moremi,by boat and bakkie. Moremi is beautiful, and has spectacular birdlife. The swamps are a must by boat to do birdwatching.
Chobe, has seen me briefly, and I must apologise to the bull elephants, as I could not always slow down in the sand to give them enough space.

Alongside the northern Central Kalahari Game Reserve is special place called Dinaka Safari Lodge.
Have seen many cats large and small at Dinaka.Dinaka gives you a chance to relax and wind down with no human interruptions.I am friends with the owner so may be biased, but will post a few photos of trips to Dinaka. My avatar, is of me in a spot where I have subsequently seen leopard thrice and lion once !

Botswana will see me again !

Where are the photos that you promised to post? I want to do a self drive tour in Botswana and I need all the info that I can included

ok, will post soon. The croc attack is true, it happened up at Shakawe. The spot was reportedly used by a big croc to ambush goats.I may have a photo of the croc as we would pass a big croc on that spot daily, that was a month prior to the attack.

The owner of Dinaka's 9 yr old son attacked by a croc on Christmas day 2013, in Maun, at a friends house, in a fenced garden.
He has fully recovered from the ordeal though. [O] ^Q^
