It seems photobucket is experiencing problems with upload of pics at present 0=

H.E . To make a special trip by two rangers in a Sanpark bakkie after hours in the dark , just to escort a visitor to spend a night in the cheapest camp in Kruger , is not exactly my idea of raising extra revenue , you know -O-

I hear your desperation Okie,...
Just maybe a dignified persona reassured safe dwelling
for the night or just maybe a pisscat reassured a roof for
the night,..Dunno,.
Obviously some transparency will help. Somehow I can very
well imagine the "curators" finding themselves in very awkward
situations..At best of times we really do not need to know the
nitty gritties behind such scenarios, on the other hand, yes, some
stricter attitude needs to be seen by those in charge if only for
mere reassurance,.

Was a bit disappointed in Satara this last trip. Firstly my unit's lock didn't work, or if it did it was too difficult (Unit 2). Apparently this is a common problem with some of the doors there? -O-

Also, the lawns are not in a good state compared to previous times. I know the drought was bad, but they need mowing and watering now. Water comes from the Olifants river so no problem!

I spoke to one of the managers and he says the previous outsourced garden people have been terminated and the new lot are due to start soon. :-(

Any members info before we forward? -O-

Our unit's lock also didn't work this trip RP and last year I had to send Bushpig through the window to lock and unlock as that unit's lock also didn't work. O/

The general upkeep of the units and the cleanliness is a problem at Satara at the moment. O**

Our trip last month was generally OK insofar maintenance in camps are concerned .
Letaba both good acceptable as expected .
Tambotie's tent starting to show serious age and lots of replacement needed there .
Shingwedzi - was busy installing a new water reticulation system , which seemed quite well in hand . Lots of digging up etc , but not really reason for complaint considering the circumstance.
Punda general upkeep also seemed in hand and no complaints , but , the camp seems to be overrun by vervet monkeys , with up to 40 at a time running around , and watching for the slightest relaxing in vigilance for them to raid common braai area , and even into vehicles to snatch and steal foodstuffs 0= @#$ .
Staff did not make the slightest attempt to chase them away , and we even considered just checking out and go somewhere else . Pity ......... :-(

Unit 37 was the faulty lock unit 36 worked. Well let me rephrase, the lock worked when turning the key but the sliding door didn't lock as it's not hung/installed correctly, so there's nothing wrong with the lock, but rather the installation of the door.
