Post your pictures of Invertebrates here!

This is a general topic for everyone to post their images of Invertebrates. It doesn't matter where you took them. If you have identified the critter, please add the name to your posting, if not, post them to the Insect or Invertebrates Identification as well.

I'll start the ball rolling with some pictures from my garden.

The cool and dry weather has lasted well onto October this year with the result that none of my daisy bushes have shown any sign of blooming. These are my best source of insects and seem to attract a huge variety of them.

Meanwhile, I have spotted a couple of interesting Dragonflies.

This exquisite creature is a Blue Emperor Dragonfly and it posed beautifully for me. I've not seen this species in my garden before.

A couple of weeks later I spotted it (or its twin) flying over my swimming pool.

15 minutes of following it with a my camera, waiting for it to hover for a couple of seconds so I could zero in and focus, netted two pictures. One was out of focus and the other was this one :-

Meanwhile, a fairly regular visitor, a Red-Veined Dropwing Dragonfly was on a bush nearby.
