- Dr U. de V. Pienaar

An employee of Protea Bookshop in Hatfield Pretoria phoned to inform me that the English translation version of the book "Neem Uit Die Verlede" is scheduled to become available within the next few months .

I will post any news as they have promised to inform me when it is available .

This book by the late Dr U de V Pienaar , former Warden of the KNP is an authorotative record of the history of the KNP and is worth the read .

Hi, Is there any feedback on this Serval, I know that some Wild one's will be happy if the translation gets available.

Both the Kobie Kruger books are great!!!! \O

I have just finished - The Last Rhino's by Lawrence Anthony, what a awesome read. The stories and the insights into the uphill battles conservation in Africa faces are eye-popping.

I am now busy with - The Ivory trail by TV Bulpin, about the life of Cecil "Bvekenya" Barnard. Once done I will post.

Mike Williams is leading a supposedly carefree life as an overland tour guide in Africa. But just a year ago, the former Australia Army officer had endured the brutal death of his girlfriend at the hands of ivory hunters in Mozambique. Now the South African Police are on the murderers' trail and need Mike's help. But he has a truckload of tourists who have no idea what has been asked of him... although one passenger has her suspicions.Following a chase through some of Africa's most spectacular locations, Mike gets his shot at revenge... but at what cost?

This is an excellent story. It reads easy, it's has it's highs and it's very highs. Tony Park has done his homework and no situation sounds not true.
I have also read THE DELTA, and am now reading ZAMBEZI. A great writer.

I am not sure where this item should be posted so The Boma seemed as good a place as any.

I have today received ny 3 volume set of the above books. They were on special offer through Wild Magazine during August so the family clubbed together to buy the set for my birthday.

Any other mites order this set?

Please excuse me while I go and settle down to some good reading.
